Top Ten Tuesday – It’s Not Me, It’s You.

February 21, 2017 top ten tuesday 5

YES! It is once again time for making & sharing LISTS!! Thank the goodness for Top Ten Tuesday hosted by the lovelies at The Broke and the Bookish.

Does anyone really read this part?

You know how this one goes… LIST YOUR TOP TEN!

This week’s topic…

Okay so maybe it is the opera singing part but I just can’t take this seriously. I still love you A.G.

Ughh this was just…no. There was potential there but still fell short.

I don’t think I even finished this one. I just couldn’t get into. It sounded familiar somehow. I might try it again though.

I DID like this one just not as much as I thought I would.

I do not like Liesel… at all. The writing also felt very repetitive. It never grabbed my attention and after I realized I was still forcing it at 50% I just gave up.

So this had everything in the premise that I should love…but don’t.

This might have been to do with the narrator of my audio book but still, it was ruined for me. I love the fae so much too!

Might have been another narrator issue but could not keep my attention on this one either.

Did any of these disappoint you? Are there any you think deserve second chances? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Bummer about the “Winner’s Curse,” and “Ever the Hunted.” Both have been on my potential TBR. Sometimes we just don’t “get” a book as the reader, and that’s ok. Where it’s not a story that suits us, it will be for many other readers, which is part of the joy in all the different authors writing all of the different genres. 🙂

Oh man!!! I’m scared to read Roseblood now, lol! I also have Wintersong but kind of stopped at 20% and just didn’t want to pick it back up. I guess I can count that as a dnf. Great list and happy reading xoxo

Definitely agree with RoseBlood… only I never thought I’d like it that much anyway 😂 I DNFed that one. Riders almost made my list but there were just too many books I hated even more 😉 I felt similarly about This Savage Song but… I have no idea WHY. I did like The Winner’s Curse and Wintersong though- Wintersong was a surprise positive for me actually! Great list, sorry these disappointed you!
